Secondary School (Years 10 – 11 | Senior Secondary)

In Years 10 and 11, students progress into Senior Secondary School, where learning becomes more focused and prepares them for national examinations and future academic or vocational pathways.

Our Senior Secondary curriculum offers a broad range of compulsory and elective subjects, allowing students to develop strengths in areas such as:

English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, Government, Literature in English, Geography, Agricultural Science, Computer Science, and Creative or Vocational subjects.

At this stage, students are encouraged to take greater responsibility for their learning, develop strong study skills, and set personal academic goals. Teaching emphasises critical thinking, research skills, collaboration, and practical application of knowledge.

Assessment is aligned with national standards and internal school benchmarks. Students are prepared for recognised national examinations and are supported with structured revision programmes, continuous assessment, and academic guidance to help them perform to the best of their ability.

A Supportive Secondary School Environment

Across all secondary levels, Nigeria Ghana International School provides a safe, inclusive, and disciplined learning environment that promotes respect, responsibility, leadership, and positive character development.

Our teachers are committed to continuous professional development and use engaging teaching methods to support diverse learning styles. We also encourage strong partnerships with parents, recognising the important role families play in supporting students’ academic progress and personal growth.
